Middlefield Mirror Spring 2014

Let the newest edition of Middlefield Mirror put a spring in your step, with all the great local news, updates and articles you have come to expect from your local community magazine.  Read the latest issue here

This issue is choc-full of features, including the Northfield Academy partnership with Metaphrog, creators and illustrators of graphic novels, to encourage reading for pleasure by allowing children to interact with real life authors.

There is also an article about the changes to school grades and exams, as we wave goodbye to Standard Grades and introduce National Qualifications. We have the usual suspects, like the health page letting you know all about the Healthy Hoose and great advice for those about to embark on stopping smoking from the Smoking Advice Service for Grampian Region.

There is also a great piece from a personal perspective on Family Learning at Manor Park and an update on the Middlefield Youth Flat and the brilliant things they have been doing lately. If that wasn’t enough for you lucky people, you get recipes, an introduction to your new Middlefield Matters radio show presenters and local news galore so you will have plenty to read about in between enjoying the lovely spring sunshine!

We are really keen that people of all ages get involved in the magazine. If you are interested helping to give a voice to your community then you might want to attend one of our editorial meetings, assisting us in gathering articles, news, images and information for future magazines.
