shmu recruiting for North East Culture Collective Coordinator role

New programme will support community-rooted creative activity in North East

Culture Collective is a network of 26 community-rooted creative projects from all across Scotland,

The network will explore new ways of working; creating employment opportunities for creative practitioners; sharing knowledge and learning; and championing what works to inform the future of support for community-rooted creative activity.

Earlier this year, shmu led a successful consortium bid on behalf of Culture Aberdeen for the North East Culture Collective (NECC) programme, which promises to be a sea-change in commissioning cultural activities.

It will empower communities to confidently take control of commissioning their own cultural programmes and support creative practitioners to shape and inform our Covid-19 recovery, exploring and expanding the positive role that arts and culture can play in society.

We’re now actively recruiting an NECC Coordinator, who will lead the operational aspects of the programme.

See here for more details of the role and how to apply

The closing date for applications is 16th July at 12pm.

Through Creative Scotland, the Culture Collective Fund awarded £6 million of Scottish Government emergency COVID-19 funds to the 26 organisations in February 2021.
