Aberdeen Learning Festival

shmuTRAIN visits learning festival

Our dedicated team at shmuTRAIN attended the Aberdeen Learning Festival on the 18th February at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC).  The festival is a great networking event for organisations involved in all aspects of learning. Our team had a stall filled with information and shmu goodies to show off to the other delegates, and the event was an opportunity to introduce newest member of shmuTRAIN, Kevin Warrander off to all their potential partners and future contacts.

The central theme of the learning festival this year was ‘Raising attainment & achievement: improving outcomes for all learners’ and set the main tone for the day. Our team held a seminar/workshop which went really well and gave shmuTRAIN a platform to showcase the work they are currently engaged in with local schools.

Delegates were shown around the shmu stall and had lots of fun getting to try out the ‘shmu toys’ otherwise known as the radio and film equipment! The day was hailed as a great success and really beneficial for our team as well as the delegates who came to visit our stall.

The event is held annually and is a major professional learning event for staff working within Aberdeen City Council’s Education, Culture & Sport Service.
