shmu Youth Media Project

SHMU are offering a programme aimed at youths as part of their media sessions during the school summer holidays. This is for participating individuals that are moving from primary 7 to academy. 

These sessions will give your child the opportunity to try film making, radio broadcasting and other aspects of journalism. All of these sessions offered by SHMU, will be free of charge and lunch will be provided for those young people attending all day.

The sessions will be delivered at our new refurbished building based on Station Road, located in Woodside. Our new facilities accommodate two new radio studios and a TV recording studio as well as space for youth sessions. 

After the summer sessions we will be offering young people the opportunity to join our already existing Youth Media Project. This consists of weekly youth sessions in film, journalism and radio after the summer has come to an end. 

This will be available to all young people of academy age that are in the catchment area or attend the schools in the shmu target areas of Northfield, Cummings Park, Middlefield, Woodside, Tillydrone, Seaton and Torry.
