Kincorth Academy's last day on shmuTRAIN

shmuTRAIN today had the Kincorth Academy Early Interventions 2014/15 year group at shmu for their last day of term.
We started working with this group in August 2014, and have seen the girls increase in confidence and gain skills to help them with their future plans. They have also participated in a school inspection on behalf of the course.
Some of the group have moved onto college, gained employment, and also decided to stay on at school.
As part of the session the group completed the last of their paperwork for an SQA in Radio and in Employability.
After all of their hard work they received a well-earned pizza break, then the group played their favourite tracks in the studio and said a sad farewell to staff.

Early Interventions
The shmuTRAIN Positive Progressions programme targets and engages young people in the Senior Phase who have been identified as being unlikely to secure a positive destination when leaving school. The programme offers an academic year-long course, which combine skills development with employability support, supported by staff from shmu based within the school.
