Our favourite books here at shmu!

Lots of us here love books but what kind of books do we like? One of the books Yasmin loves and others love is The Fault in our Stars by John Green. The Fault in our Stars Is about a girl that has lung cancer and has to carry an oxygen tank about with her. Her mum thinks shes depressed and sends her to cancer support group which makes her feel depressed even more. While at support group she meets a new “special” friend. I highy recommend you read this book.

Here at shmu one of the YMT members called Lukasz has interest in the How to train your Dragon series. How to train your Dragon is about Hiccup who has to fight Alvin the Treacherous and then he saves the tribe from other Vikings.

Fern’s (from the Youth Media Team) favourite book is the Illustrated Mum by Jacqueline Wilson. "I like it because it is a surprise of whatever the mum will do. It's also really funny because the mum is crazy and gets tattoos all the time. I also find it very interesting”

Klaudia's favourite series is The Hunger Games series. The Hunger Games is a multimedia franchise created by Suzanne Collins. Set in The Hunger Games universe, the franchise began with The Hunger Games, the first book in The Hunger Games trilogy. The novels have been developed into a series of films. The book/film is mostly about main protagonist Katniss Everdeen. It is about districts that each year create hunger games as entertainment for people in Capitol but survival for he districts. When being chosen for female and male Katniss’s sister got picked out for the female, Katniss got scared and concerned so she volunteered for her sister.

Life without Limits is one of Sara's favourite books. It is about a man named Nick Vujicic who was born without any arms or legs. In this book Nick talks about the struggles of his life and how he overcame them, giving the reader his personal advice of how to find happiness in their lives.
