Saltire Summit Award for Youth Media Member

A member of shmu’s Youth Media Team has been awarded the Saltire Summit Award.
Robert McDonald joined shmu through the Youth TV Project back in October 2012 and has been volunteering ever since through the Youth Radio Project, a stint as our Tilly Talks presenter and now regularly covers Breakfast and Cruise Control shows when needed.
The Saltire Summit Award is a prestigious award which celebrates the outstanding contribution which is made by young volunteers throughout Scotland. Robert was nominated by SHMU for his work and his nomination was assessed by a panel of Saltire Ambassadors who decide which applicants merit the award.
Robert was one of only 12 people who are awarded this accolade each year in Aberdeen so we would like to say a massive well done to him!
Do you know a young person aged between 12 and 25 who has made an outstanding contribution through their volunteering? You can nominate them for a Saltire Summit Award. Find out more information about the awards click here.
