Toilet twins

St George's Church in Tillydrone invited shmu's Youth Media Team to have a chat with them about their latest venture in Uganda - Toilet Twining!

The church works hand in hand with local charity, Tillydrone Vision, and after recently upgrading the existing toilet facilities in the building the team had a discussion about what they could do to help.

Tillydrone Vision is a charity working with young people from Tillydrone and Uganda. The charity supports young people living in Tillydrone or attending St Machar Academy to take part in a two week trip to Uganda where they take part in a variety of activities to improve residents' living conditions. 

There was lots going on at the church on Tuesday as Shaunny, Dionne and Zan accepted a cheque from Elaine and Jennifer, who raised money for the group by holding a charity night out.

Bill Mitchell, clerk to the church board, told shmu's Youth Media Team about the Tiolet Twinning project. The church have decided to sponsor four latrines, one for each of the new toilets in their building. Each latrine will support a family for around 5 years.
