We've been busy gearing up for when we can return to shmu HQ!

Distancing and safety measures are being put in place, including the installation of perspex screens in some areas.

Challenge Poverty Week

ShmuFM have been working with organisations, both local and nationally, as part of Challenge Poverty Week, to highlight the many issues around poverty.

Volunteers from shmuFM have produced a number of shows which will be broadcast throughout the week, focusing on local charities, lived experience of poverty and the effects of economic inequality.

Applications now closed for BFI Film Academy

Applications are now open for the seventh Aberdeen BFI Film Academy which will run from September to December 2021.

News for Northfield and Cummings Park

The latest edition of Cumming North is out for delivery in Cummings Park and Northfield.

There are still a few spaces left for this year’s Aberdeen BFI Film Academy and applicants are encouraged to get an application in by Sunday 4th October if they’d like to be considered for a place on this popular course.

This project is aimed at 16-19 year olds who have an aspiration to work in the film industry and takes place in the evening and/or at weekends.
