57 North Presents: Before Stories
This week on 57° North Presents, we're delighted to feature Before Stories! They will appear live on the show on Monday the 30th of October from 8-10pm, playing tracks from their across their latest EP To Fill These Lungs, and filling us in on all things Before Stories.
Before Stories is a post-everything duo, formed of Jamie Reid and Colin Brennan, who write songs about making bad decisions. Before Stories utilises a range of vocal and guitar styles and innovative use of effects between both guitars to create a diverse and creative sound.
The soundscape is driven by a mix of pre-made drum beats and samples played through a launch pad by both members. Often opting for spoken word/poetry-style vocals, Before Stories are not afraid to push boundaries lyrically, nodding towards acts such as Arab Strap and Listener.
