Band of the Week: Cellar Door

Local alt-rock trio features on shmuFM

Our featured artist this week on shmuFM is Cellar Door. You can hear them live on the Band of the Week Show on Monday the 30th of November, where you'll hear all sorts of things, including what they're into and their own debut EP - Kiss Me I'm Scottish.

Cellar Door is a local three-piece alternative rock band. They are quickly establishing themselves in the local live scene, having played several gigs around the city in venues like The Tunnels, Cafe Drummonds, The Forum and Downstairs, and they shall be playing more in the near future. They're inspired by the likes of Queens of the Stone Age and Enter Shikari, as well as The Who and Led Zeppelin, mixing raw energy with an ear for melody.

Cellar Door has recently released their debut EP, Kiss Me I’m Scottish, and have been receiving lashings of praise for the amount of both energy and polish in their live sets. You can check out their Soundcloud right here.

You can hear any of Cellar Door's tracks on any of our live shows by getting in contact with the studio on 01224 483413, by texting 60300 (type SHMU, leave a space and then your message) or by emailing studio@shmu.org.uk.

The Band Of The Week Show is repeated every Friday at midnight until 2am on 99.8FM, and you can listen to the show here on our website using the live stream or Listen Again feature.
