Band of the Week: The Cinnamon Service

Indie/punky goodness featuring on shmuFM

This week's featured band is The Cinnamon Service! You can hear them live on the Band Of The Week Show on Monday the 24th of November from 8-10pm, where you'll hear some of their studio tracks, and some acoustic tunes live - as well as getting to know the band and what they're up to.

A four-piece band from Aberdeen, The Cinnamon Service is an indie band with a punky edge - comprising of Chris (lead vocals, guitar) Stu (lead vocals, guitar) John (Bass) and Johnny (Drums).

Formed in 2012, our influences are varied from stuff most people may have never heard of, to Bruce Springsteen, Franz Ferdinand, Manic Street Preachers, The Hold Steady, Big Country, The Skids, the list goes on...

The Cinnamon Service recently put out their debut EP, wonderfully entitled Fear and Loathing in Aberdeen, and you can request any of their tracks on any of our live shows by getting in touch with us on 01224 483413, by texting 60300 and starting your message with SHMU then a space - also, please leave your name so we know who to dedicate it to - or by emailing us on studio@shmu.org.uk.

The Band Of The Week Show is repeated every Friday at midnight until 2am on 99.8FM, and you can listen to the show here on our website using the live stream or Listen Again feature.

EDIT: The Cinnamon Service performed a couple of live tracks on the show - you can hear two of them here:
