Band of the Week: Connor Clark
This week on shmuFM, our featured artist is Connor Clark! You can hear Connor Clark live on the Band Of The Week Show on Monday the 1st of June from 8-10pm, where you'll get to know about him and his life, what he's up to, his tunes, why he writes them and more - as well as an exclusive live set.
Connor Clark is a 17 year old musician from Kincorth. His main influences are Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Johnny Marr. Connor hopes to be successful with his music one day and turn his love and passion into a career.
He decided to start because: “right now Aberdeen hasn't got a music scene like other major cities, and we know we can make a difference.”
Connor writes the music and lyrics, which he then lets the other lads hear and they come up with different parts to suit the song - drum fills, riffs, solos etc., turning it into something of a collaborative process. If you enjoy what you hear on shmuFM, you can find more at his Soundcloud.
