Band of the Week: Dylan Fowlie

On the show, you'll hear some of Dylan's latest tracks, a live set, the music he listens to, and much more as he's interviewed by Band of the Week presenter Jaimi about what he's been up to and what's coming up.

Dylan Fowlie is a local singer-songwriter. At 19 years old, he’s been playing acoustically for around 5 years and singing for about 4! He was firstly inspired by solo acoustic players, most recognisably the ones on Candyrat Records: Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour and Don Ross to name a few. His roots definitely lie in heavy metal and hard rock though - singers like Myles Kennedy, Bruce Dickinson and Devin Townsend are huge influences.

He describes his own music as “very mismatched” - still trying to find himself a little, he says! If you like what you hear, his music is going strong on his Soundcloud, with both covers and originals - treat yourself to a listen! He hopes to have an actual album, or at least a solid, well-polished EP out by the end of the year.
