Band of the Week: ROTU
This week on shmuFM, we're delighted to feature ROTU! You can hear them live on the Band of the Week Show on Monday the 14th of September from 8-10pm. You'll hear their new EP Strawberet, you'll get to know them and their history, what's coming up, and even what ROTU means.
ROTU is the 3-piece recipe of the tartan unicorn: a tasty blend of funk, blues and rock melodies tied by a tight rhythm section. ROTU whisks together intricate melodies with chunky rock riffs, reminiscent of the 60's and 70's, to craft one-of-a-kind songs which massage your ears gently.
Add a dash of prog for maximum effect, then bake at 420 degrees for 1 year and leave to sit for a couple of months, to produce a high quality Strawberet! Strawberet is the first EP from ROTU and is set for release across all platforms this December. Hard copies will be available to purchase at all gigs ROTU are playing over the coming months, and of course, you can hear it on shmuFM.
