shmuFM Band of the Week: Billy Barron
This week on shmuFM, our featured artist is Billy Barron! You can hear him live on the Band of the Week Show on Monday the 28th of April from 8-10pm.
Billy Barron is a guitarist and songwriter who writes blues tunes with influences from blues legends Robert Johnson, Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, The Animals and many others like them.
His second EP came out on Saturday (26th April) - here are links to his Bandcamp and Facebook pages. You can hear tracks from his new EP on shmuFM, and of course you can hear a two-hour live feature with Billy from 8-10pm on Monday night on the Band of the Week Show.
As well as writing and recording music on his own, Billy plays in a 2-piece covers band named Oot the Blue.
To promote the release of this new EP, Billy has released a single entitled 'It's Monday Morning' - you can find this on his Bandcamp page. As Billy's music will be played all week on our primetime shows (Breakfast, Packed Lunch and Cruise Control), keep an ear out for his tunes!
