shmuFM Band of the Week: Colin Clyne

Our featured artist on the shmuFM Band of the Week this week is Colin Clyne. He appeared live on the show on the 20th of January.
Colin Clyne is a singer-songwriter from Stonehaven who began making music at 16. For some, music is a career – for others, it’s a calling. Colin’s debut album, Doricana, is built on years of touring and honing his mix of Celtic, folk, rock and pop influences.
Colin Clyne has spent 10 years in California, where he has twice been crowned as the “Best Acoustic Act” – an accolade previously won by internationally acclaimed artists Jason Mraz and Jewel. More recently, he opened the stage for the Red Hot Chilli Pipers at the Stonehaven Hogmanay Party.
Colin can be found playing shows in both “solo and band mode”. 2013 will be a banner year for Clyne, with touring, recording, a brand new Doricana tour DVD release as well as soundtrack work on the horizon, and wrk on his much anticipated new album is well under way.
Whether you are a fan of Celtic music, folk or rock, Colin Clyne’s music is a special sound, which can touch the heart or lift the spirit.
