Our featured artist this week on shmuFM is Davy Shanks! You can hear him live on the Band of the Week Show on Monday the 7th of April from 8-10pm.

Davy Shanks is a local folk and blues singer-songwriter who won last year’s Slains Acoustic Competition – winning studio time with shmuSOUND. He incorporates percussive guitar elements and intricate melodies into his compositions and strong, sung stories, to create a captivating listen.

Davy has played live for years but has never had the chance to record his music, and so was pleased to record his debut EP, Young Art, with shmuSOUND. He is still gigging regularly, and you can get a taste for his tunes right here on shmuFM.
