shmuFM Band of the Week: Lung Season

This week on shmuFM, we've got Lung Season as our Band of the Week - you can hear them live on the Band Of The Week Show on Monday the 14th of July from 8-10pm, where they'll be chatting about everything Lung Season.

Lung Season is a five-piece punk band, hailing from areas all over Aberdeen. Allan, Blain, Craig, Scotty, and Ricki having previously played in bands and toured together, bonded over trying to maintain the facade of being a proper person. Having grown up and found their way through the local punk scene, their first record entitled “2014” was written with a more mature approach that focuses on melody, has a pop mentality towards songwriting, and has evidence of a wider range of inspiration.

Lung Season draw influence from the entire spectrum of punk by including elements of indie, emo, pop punk and hardcore to their sound. “2014”, released through Giant MKT Records in the US, is primed to set the band's touring schedule for the next year - which is already looking promising with gigs all over the UK as well as offers to take their sound abroad.
