shmuSOUND Rap Project Launch Day

Our latest project, the shmuSOUND Rap Music project, is kicking off on Sunday the 15th of February! We’ll be holding a launch day with tasters to each element of the course.

The event will begin at 11am at The Lemon Tree, and the tasters will be split to reflect each of the three areas the course delves into. These areas will be:

Beat-making - using programs such as FL Studio to create the backing beats, sampling, looping etc.

Lyricism - exploring things such as lyric writing, flow technique, structuring, rhythms and more.

Gigs and promotion -  how to get in touch with the right people, organise and promote your event.

Each taster will occur simultaneously, and will run twice – once in the morning and then again in the afternoon - so you can take part in the sessions that interest you the most.

The tutors on the day are producer and beat-maker Ekizel, rapper Bang On!, and local music industry expert John Anderson.

To round the day off, there’ll be a cypher until 3:30pm. Hopefully you’ll be able to come away from this launch day knowing which areas of the project you’d like to dive deeper into. See you there!
