Young Artist’s Music Project

The shmu Young Artist’s Music Project, which is funded by Creative Scotland, is an early-career development project for young people (14-25) from minority ethnic communities and those living in any of the following areas: Northfield, Seaton, Torry, Middlefield, Cummings Park, Woodside and Tillydrone.
The project will begin in mid-November 2016 with a number of taster sessions taking place across the city. Young people will have the opportunity to ‘try out’ different aspects of music-making such as beat-making and sound production as well as learning to play instruments such as drums and guitar. Those who sign up after the taster sessions will be able to access a series of private/small group lessons, recording time and performance opportunities.
If you are interested in getting involved or finding out more phone us on 01224 515013 or email sound@shmu.org.uk.
