What you can do…
Without support from wonderful people in Aberdeen, we would be unable to ensure that we continue our important work with communities. We are very grateful for any support that you can offer us, whether that is organising your own bake sale, running a 10k or even organising a collection for your next birthday.
Taking on a fundraising event should be fun, and our Fundraising Officer is always on hand to ensure that shmu are doing everything they can to support your event. Organising a fundraising event or taking part in a challenge event is great fun and our fundraising team are on hand to support you every step of the way.
Take on a Challenge
There are many events throughout the year that you can take part in and raise funds to support our work. Some local events are listed below:

If you sign up to take on a challenge on our behalf, you will get a fundraising pack including a shmu tshirt to wear on the day, and a tote bag, sponsored by the kind people at Red Wings.
Organise an event
Our Fundraising Officer organises events to raise money for shmu throughout the year, but we welcome support from individuals who wish to organise something independently. There are so many ways to raise money – even at home – by organising a get together with friends, or taking advantage of your local community hall for a bigger event, for example:
- Bake sale at work
- Coffee Morning
- Themed parties & clubs
- Games nights
- Bag Packing
- Bingo night
- School sponsored silence

Join the shmuAMBASSADORS
Want to do more to help us but not sure what to do? Got some ideas but need to share them with others? Maybe you just feel like you are the perfect person to talk about all the good work that we do at shmu! In which case, why not join the shmuAMBASSADORS group?
We need people to help us at community events, to help us set up and organise our fundraisers, to help with bag packs, empty collection cans in the local area – could this be you? Get in touch!
