What is the Aberdeen BFI Film Academy
Building on the success of the delivery of our previous BFI Film Academies, Station House Media Unit [shmu] is working in partnership with the British Film Institute, Creative Scotland, North East Scotland College and the Belmont Filmhouse to deliver Aberdeen’s seventh BFI Film Academy course. The prestigious course is targeted at young people (16-19 years) who have a passion for film-making and are interested in developing the skills that will help them work towards a career in the industry.
The course, made possibly with funding from the BFI and Creative Scotland, will run weekly from September to December 2021. It will include masterclasses from a range of industry professionals and culminate in the production of two short films.
