57 North Presents: The Vapour Trails

57 North Presents returns on Monday 22nd July! Five-piece psych-influenced Aberdeen band The Vapour Trails are Alan's studio guests. The band formed last year and are gearing up to release an album on the USA’s Futureman Records next month. They also play a headline show at Aberdeen’s Cafe Drummond on Saturday 10 August.

Radio: 57 North Presents: Broadsea

Aberdeen’s Broadsea play heavy, atmospheric post-rock. The band join Alan in the 57 North Presents studio on Monday 24th June, before they head out on a short tour.

The 2019 Koestler Awards opened for submissions in February and HMP & YOI Grampian in partnership with MAP and Fife College supported prisoners to submit their work.

Media Access Project Celebrate YOYP! #2018

2018 saw HMP & YOI Grampian celebrate the Year of Young People. Throughout the year young people 26 and under engaged in various activities which fell under the 6 themes; Equality & Discrimination, Enterprise & Regeneration, Education, Participation, Health & Wellbeing & Culture.

Between City Lights is the new solo project from Connor Rezin.

Melding pop, alt-pop and alt-indie influences into his own unique style, Connor writes, records and mixes everything from the comfort of his own bedroom.

His debut single 'Water' was released in February 2019, with a self-titled EP to follow in July.

Alan's studio guest on 57 North Presents this week (Monday 20th May) is Nathan Brown, host of Aberdeen-based podcast Mood Swings.

Nathan's interviewed everyone from musicians to MMA fighters on the podcast, which focuses on mental health issues.

57 North Presents: Run To Vega

Aberdeen-based rock band Run To Vega were formed by Kev Corel and Sye Christian in March of 2016.

Taking influences from a variety of styles and genres, they were finalists in the 2018-2019 Eruption Battle of the Bands competition and also nominated for 'Best Alternative Act' at The Fudge Awards.
