shmu AGM and Annual Report

Station House Media Unit (shmu) held their AGM on Thursday the 13th December at our temporary home at Ashgrove Road West, which offered an opportunity for us to reflect on the highlights of the year, including our Paving the way to Woodside fundraising campaign, which has helped us raise vital funds to pay for kit in our new building at Station Road.

For our final show of the year, host Alan will be joined by 57 North’s John Anderson to look back on the year in local music, with a particular focus on artists who’ve appeared on the show.

Emily Watt is a young singer-songwriter from Aberdeen. Since starting out by playing a mix of covers and original songs at open mic nights and acoustic evenings, she's recently been asked to play with established local artists such as Craig John Davidson and bliss.

Radio Marathon

Station House Media Unit’s shmuFM successfully completed its first ever Giving Tuesday event on Tuesday 27th November

Our committed volunteers took part in a 26 hour community radio marathon and raised a fantastic £1755.

57 North Presents: bliss

Aberdeen-based indie-rock quartet bliss (the lower case ‘b’ is intentional) formed earlier in 2018.

Influenced by 80s pop, as well as modern indie and alternative rock, they released their self-titled debut EP on the 10th of November.
