Giving Tuesday - your invitation to take part

shmu joins the #givingtuesday movement this year to encourage people in Aberdeen to do “good stuff” this Christmas! Happening on the 27th November, a day of giving after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, our awesome volunteers are organising a Radio Marathon to kick off our partership in style!

Turn it Up to 11 - Happy Birthday shmuFM!

On Saturday 20th October shmuFM, celebrated its 11th birthday! That is almost 4,000 days of community radio! We spent the week talking to staff and volunteers about their memories of the launch and their first shows.

We caught up with our Founder and Chief Exec, Murray, about it's launch all those years ago (and raked up some old photos too!)...

Fundraising success at the Tour de Catterline!

It was a beautiful day for the Tour de Catterline fundraiser last Sunday! We are so proud of everyone who took on the 50, 35 or 10 mile cycle routes to raise money for our building in Woodside!

We did it! Our second fundraising event at The Golden Tee in Torry raised just over £480 towards our Paving the Way to Woodside fundraising campaign!

57 North Presents:Lou's Last Show!

t’s our 57 North Presents host Lou Ironside’s last show on Monday (10th September), as she moves on to pastures new. Sad times indeed...

The show promises to be a must-listen however, and you can expect to hear from many friends old and new, as well as the usual mix of great local music.
