BFI Film Academy 2018 - Apply Now!

Building on the success of the last four years, Station House Media Unit (shmu) is once again working in partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI), Creative Scotland, North East Scotland College and the Belmont Fimhouse to deliver Aberdeen’s fifth BFI Film Academy course - and recruitment is now open.

First step in Paving the Way to Woodside!

What do the Voodoo Amigos, Dolly Mixtures and Isle of View all have in common...? They were all teams who took part in our fundraising quiz last Friday 27th July!
 
Our quiz night at the Lord Byron Pub in Northfield was shmu's first fundraising event, and a sell-out success, raising over £500 for the new building.

57 North Presents: The Ghost Tape

New Aberdeen-based alt-rock duo The Ghost Tape released their first tracks online earlier this month.

The band also play The Wolfstock Music Festival at Banff Castle in Aberdeenshire on the 1st of September.

They’ll be in the studio, with our host Lou, on 57 North Presents on Monday the 23rd of July from 8pm–10pm.

Well-known Aberdeen rock musician Jon Davie was left paralysed after an accident last September.

After spending nine months in hospital in Glasgow, he’s now back in Aberdeen where he’s receiving further treatment, and we’re delighted to welcome him in for a chat as this week’s guest on 57 North Presents for what promises to be a very special show.
