The summer 2014 edition of Mastrick Matters is off to print and will be on its way to the fine residents of Mastrick very soon indeed. If you can’t wait that long, or don’t live in Mastrick, our digital version is now available to read online now.
The Youth Media Project from Station House Media Unit (shmu) has gained a funding boost of almost £50,000 from the Big Lottery young start fund. The project, due to begin in late July will provide creative opportunities for young people aged 12-19 to learn about all aspects of the production of regular live radio and TV broadcasts.
Our featured band this week on shmuFM is Shangri-La - you can hear them live on the Band Of The Week Show on Monday the 25th of August from 8-10pm, where you'll hear Shangri-La's debut EP Control, some live tracks, and generally get to know the band.

This week on shmuFM, our featured artist is Leighann Esslemont - you can her live on the Band Of The Week Show on Monday the 18th of August from 8-10pm, where you'll get to know Leighann, what she's up to, her tunes and maybe even live ones too!
Our staff members and Youth Media Team (YMT) members went to the Tillydrone Gala on the 16th of August 2014. Everyone had great time there were different stalls that sold fruit, cakes, ice-cream, jewellery etc.
